HONORARY DEGREES - CREW BIOGRAPHIES

Anthony Haas (Producer/Director/Writer): After years in sales, Anthony graduated from Northampton Area Community College, with an associate degree in Radio/Television production. He worked freelance for local television stations in and around the tri-state area for a few years before attending Vancouver Film School on a full scholarship, rewarded in an international competition. Anthony intends to use his business sense to help other creative individuals turn their visions into reality. He is always looking for talented and determined people to work with.

Eric Coleman (Director/Writer): Eric Coleman is an award winning cartoonist, stand-up comic, accomplished writer, and all around asshole. It was while writing, producing, directing, acting in, and editing his politically satirical cable access show (Flippant) that he realized the most effective medium to be an asshole is, the moving picture. A year and some change later he was off to Vancouver Film School. In his free time Coleman enjoys long walks on the beach and trips to Spain.

Brett Kibbler (Editor/Sound Editor):  Brett is a born Cuttah, on wax or film. Always for helping out the peeps, Brett worked various on set, and post production, positions during his time at Vancouver Film School. On Honorary Degrees, he single handedly cut the picture, from digitizing, to music. Brett is also known as DJ Phosphorous, or OJ Toast, and for teaming up with Dr. Z the Magnificent (Zorn Pink), to form TBA. The duo created the “VHS theme” song for Honorary Degrees. You can hear some of their stuff like, the infamous “Breakfast song” at,  www.soundclick.com. Search under DJ Phosphorus…Eat it up!

Denis Gouskov (D.O.P./Camera Op): Denis was born to his great surprise in Siberian exile in Russia, where his parents, who didn’t know any better, brought him into this world. He worked for a local TV station and theatre while in college. At the time he was offered a chance to come to Canada. After finishing his studies, Denis decided to make Canada his home. Then, after he took a course in photography, his passion for visual storytelling was rekindled and he applied to Vancouver Film School hoping to pursue a career in the art of filmmaking. Denis loves potatoes and Vodka; he hates stupid people. He wants to make it big by doing what he loves the most, making movies.

Chad Margulius (Producer/AD/LM): Chad is known to have baller status in whatever he does. He attended Vancouver Film School where he produced, assistant directed, and even did sound for various projects, including; The Light of Inspiration and Alone with the Devil. Most recently Chad found himself on the set of a short film, which shall remane nameless, where he was not satisfied with the inefficiency of the set and wrote a nine page rant on how the people involved were too absurd for him to work with again. It is this demand for perfection that makes him a valuable asset to any legitimate film set.
