Long Synopsis:
Honorary Degrees, 2005, color, 13:45 minutes
To film school, or not to film school, that is the question. Stacy (Hanna Hall) is dead set on running the VHS film school her way, into the ground. When approached by her melodramatic Directing Instructor, Dwayne (Eric Coleman), with artistic demands, Stacy decides to start downsizing and starts by replacing Dwayne with the schools janitor, Ron Jess (Matthieu Ferguson).
Meanwhile, the well meaning students of VHS begin to question their expensive educational agenda when they see their favorite instructors disappearing as quickly as their own hopes of landing a job in the cutthroat film industry.
One of the students, Derrick (Jeremy Mackie) decides to help, the down and out, Dwayne, get his mojo back by helping him foil Stacy’s diabolical scheme to replace VHS instructors with robots as a part of a special home correspondence course.        Can Dwayne lead the eager students to the filmmaking promise land, or are they on their own in the pursuit of a life of creativity?
